Planning for Aboriginal communities state planning policy 3.2

  • Provide a framework for the provision of infrastructure in large permanent Aboriginal communities.
  • Identify these communities within town planning schemes.
  • Provide a framework for negotiation and decision making between Aboriginal communities and local government.
  • Provide a process to approve community layout plans.

The Guidelines for the preparation of community layout plans for Western Australian Aboriginal communities guide the preparation of community layout plans and provides detail on the form and content of community layout plans.
