The creation of this park will assist in providing a substantial education, recreation and conservation resource for the existing and future population of Greater Bunbury.

The objectives of this plan are:

  • to provide the broad guidelines for the establishment of the regional park which will assist in the preparation of a draft and final management plan;
  • to provide a reference document for the preparation of a joint cabinet submission requesting Cabinet (State Treasury) to allocate funds for the administration, development and ongoing management of the park;
  • to allow for public comment on the establishment of the park;
    to provide a proposal for the land area to be included in the park; and
  • to propose the management responsibility for reserves that make up the regional park.

The closing date for submissions is Friday 4 July 2008
