Planning bulletin 30 was released in February 1999 to outline proposals to change regulations and the associated application forms. Following comments received, amendments were made - particularly to the Form 1A - Subdivision Application Form.

The Planning Legislation Amendment Act 1999 received assent in January 2000. This Act provides for an appeal right at the diagram or plan of survey stage, and accordingly requires that procedures be in place to ensure that application is made at this stage to receive appropriate clearances of the WAPC.

The regulations will come into operation upon the proclamation of the Planning Legislation Amendment Act on 19 December 2000.
