The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is responsible for approving all subdivision applications in our State.
To ensure that we deal with your applications efficiently and that our customers clearly understand the information required for subdivision applications, we have introduced a number of improvements, including:
Form 1A has been reviewed and improved and incorporates a detailed checklist to help you complete the application.
Form 1C has been reviewed and improved for people wishing to obtain a WAPC endorsement of a strata plan, deposited plan (freehold) or survey strata plan required for the issue of title on newly created lots.
Form 2A is a new form for people wanting to submit changes to subdivision or survey strata plans before they are determined.
Form 3A has been introduced for people seeking a reconsideration of their WAPC decision.
In addition we have made a number of changes to the way things have been done in the past.
- The forms are now clearer and more self-explanatory
- Conditions imposed on a subdivision are explained using simple English
- The model conditions and determination notices are available on the website and updated regularly
- A standard plan process has been introduced for strata, freehold and survey strata subdivisions, where all plans are lodged directly with the Western Australian Land Information Authority (Landgate) and applications for endorsement of plan (form 1C) are lodged directly with the WAPC.
What this will mean to you is a system that is easier to understand, more effective and more efficient.
